    Terms & Conditions for Independent Cleaning Professionals

    These Terms & Conditions for Independent Cleaning Professionals (“Agreement”), together with any documents referred to in them, govern your use of the Maid Bea platform (the “Site” and/or “App”) and your relationship with Maid Bea (“we,” “us,” or “Company”) as an Independent Cleaning Professional (“you,” “Contractor,” or “Service Provider”). By registering with Maid Bea and accepting bookings through our platform, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to them, you must not use any Maid Bea platform. We regularly update our Terms & Conditions. It is you, the Contractor’s, responsibility to keep current with any updates.

     

    1 | About Maid Bea

    Maid Bea is a technology platform, operating through our website and mobile app, that connects customers (“Users,” or “Clients”) with independent cleaning professionals (“you,” “Contractor,” or “Service Provider”).

    We facilitate bookings and process payments. We do not provide cleaning services directly.

    If you wish to contact us in writing, have a complaint or are required to give us notice in writing, you can send this to us by email at hello@maidbea.com.

     

    2 | Independent Contractor Status

    Contractor is an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of the Company. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship.

    As an independent contractor, you:

    • Control how you perform cleaning services; 
    • Provide your own cleaning tools, supplies, and transportation;
    • Are responsible for all taxes and business expenses;
    • Are responsible for your own liability insurance and compliance with applicable laws.

     

    Maid Bea does not withhold or pay payroll taxes, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, or company benefits.

     

    3 | Eligibility & Registration

    To register as a Service Provider, you represent and warrant that:

    • You are at least 18 years old 
    • You are legally authorized to work in the United States
    • You may lawfully operate as an independent contractor
    • All information you provide is accurate, current and complete
    • You possess the skills necessary to provide professional cleaning services

    You authorize Maid Bea to conduct background checks, identity verification, and other lawful screenings deemed appropriate.

    You must notify us immediately of any material changes affecting your eligibility.

     

    4 | Insurance Requirements

    You must maintain general liability insurance sufficient to cover property damage and bodily injury arising from your services.

    Proof of insurance must be provided upon request.

    Failure to maintain coverage may result in immediate termination of this agreement.

     

    5 | Platform Role & Booking Authority

    Maid Bea may offer you service bookings based on your availability, experience, and location.

    • You may accept or decline any booking offer. 
    • Once accepted, you are expected to honor the booking.
    • Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

     

    When you accept a booking, you enter into a direct service contract with the User.

    Maid Bea is not a party to that service contract.

    We do not guarantee any minimum volume of bookings or income.

     

    6 | Service Standards

    You agree to:

    • Perform services professionally and safely 
    • Complete all accepted bookings to meet the quality expectations set by the Company, following The Bea Standard of Clean
    • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
    • Follow client-specific instructions provided through the platform or in-person with client;

    Failure to meet performance standards may result in corrective actions or removal from the platform.

    If work is deemed unsatisfactory:

    • You agree to return and complete a re-clean at your own expense. 
    • If you refuse or are unavailable, a refund may be issued to the User and deducted from your earnings.

     

    7 | Tools, Equipment & Supplies

    Contractor must supply all necessary cleaning products, tools, and equipment needed to perform services, unless the client has specifically agreed to provide certain items.

    You are responsible for:

    • Using products safely and appropriately; 
    • Avoiding unsafe chemical combinations (example: bleach and ammonia);
    • Complying with all safety guidelines and applicable laws when using tools or chemicals.  

     

    8 | Technology & Check-In

    You must:

    • Maintain a working smartphone with access to the required applications: Progressive83 App and WhatsApp, staying informed with all updates through all channels; 
    • Check in and check out for each booking through the designated platform; we will notify you of any client cancellation by at least one of the following methods: mobile app, email, phone, WhatsApp or SMS communication. It will be your responsibility to monitor these frequently to ensure you are up to date on your bookings.

     

    Failure to check in or check out may delay or affect your payment.

     

    9 | Payments

    Clients pay Maid Bea electronically, and Maid Bea disburses payments to you based on the completed services.

    Payments are subject to:

    • Verified attendance and completion of accepted bookings; 
    • No unresolved service disputes.

    Payments will be made twice a month from the company to an account of your choosing. The first payment will be on the 7th, this will cover all work carried out between the 16th and end of the previous month. The next payment date will be the 21st, this will cover all work carried out between the 1st and 14th of that month. Should these payment dates fall on a holiday or weekend, payments will be processed the previous business day.

     

    You agree that we will process payments for your services on your behalf and Maid Bea are only holding onto these funds until they are released to you pending any issues from the users.

     

    You agree that we will process payments on your behalf.

    You are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on amounts received.

     

    10 | Damage & Incident Reporting

    You are fully responsible for any damage caused during service.

    If any damage occurs during a booking, you must:

    1. Stop work immediately; 
    2. Take clear photos of the damage;
    3. Notify Maid Bea before leaving the premises through your private WhatsApp chat;
    4. Provide a factual written incident report.

    Failure to report incidents may lead to removal from the platform.

    You agree to reimburse the User for damages.

     

    11 | Re-Clean Guarantee

    Services include a re-clean guarantee.

    If a valid service complaint is raised within the guarantee period of 48 hours from the completion of the service:

    • You may be required to return to correct the issue (within 7 days of approved complaint); if you are unable to return, or the client refuses for you to go back to complete a re-clean, a refund may be issued to the client and deducted from your pay; 
    • You must prioritize the re-clean;
    • There is no additional compensation for a re-clean unless pre-approved by Maid Bea.

    Repeat issues or poor performance may affect future booking eligibility on the platform.

     

    12 | Confidentiality & Privacy‍

    You may only use User information to provide booked services. You agree to keep all User information confidential and delete User data if requested. You agree to Maid Bea’s privacy and cookie policies.

    You shall not:

    • Share or sell User information for any reason; 
    • Post photos of User property online;
    • Disclose any confidential information learned through the platform.

    This duty survives termination of this Agreement.

     

    13 | Non-Solicitation & Non-Circumvention

    While registered on the platform and for 18 months following termination, you agree not to:

    • Solicit or accept private work from any User introduced through Maid Bea; 
    • Refer clients or attempt to circumvent the Company to provide services independently.

    If you violate this section:

    • Your account will be terminated; 
    • You agree to pay liquidated damages up to $500 per violation or 30% of projected annual service value, whichever is greater;
    • Maid Bea may deduct such amounts from earnings owed.

     

    14 | Professional Conduct

    You agree to:

    • Arrive on time and dressed professionally; 
    • Communicate respectfully with clients;
    • Avoid bringing unauthorized persons (friends, children, pets, etc.) to service appointments;
    • Leave immediately after service completion. We do not carry out any checks on clients and cannot provide any guarantees as to the conduct of clients or the suitability or safety of their premises. You attend cleaning visits at your own risk. You must leave immediately if you have any concerns as to such matters.

     

    15 | Absences & Time Off

    If you cannot attend a scheduled booking due to illness, emergency, or other reasons, you must notify the client and Maid Bea as soon as possible. 

    If you fail to attend the agreed location at the scheduled time of the visit (no show), we reserve the right to charge you the full amount of the booking and a non-attendance administration fee of $35 to cover our reasonable costs arising as a result of the missed booking which we may, at our election, deduct from any amounts due to you from us.

    You are responsible for managing your schedule and communicating proactively.

     

    16 | Termination of Agreement

    Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason.

    Upon termination, you must:

    • Remove any association with Maid Bea clients; stop using all Maid Bea platforms immediately and delete mobile app; 
    • Return any client keys or property immediately;
    • Cease representing yourself as a Maid Bea Contractor.

    Non-solicitation and non-circumvention provisions remain enforceable after termination.

     

    17 | Amendments

    Maid Bea may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on the Site, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms of use to another organization, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these terms of use. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms of use to another person. Each of the conditions of these terms of use operates separately. If any court or competent authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining conditions will remain in full force and effect.
